Easy Access to Digital Libraries

EzDL is a tool to provide Easy Access to Digital Libraries. It is a Java based application that allows users to search several related libraries at once, presents a combined result view and offers a number of possibilities to work with and organize results. At the moment the program focuses on search for scientific literature, but other types of digital libraries and documents will be supported in the future.

A first version that allows search within the scientific domain of computer science was released on June 23rd, 2010. To try ezDL click the link or the button at the bottom of this page.

Future releases will have

• a personal library to store documents, queries, terms, etc.
• support for sharing documents
• strategical and tactical support
• support for multi-session searches
• local search using your desktop search engine
• many more digital libraries (from different domains) to search

If you want to search anonymously, use the account "visitor" with password "visitor". Right now it does not make any difference whether you are logged in under your personal account or the visitor account but in the near future some features (e.g. a personal library) will require an account.
